ABSTRACT
The main objective of this research is to analyze and
examine some of the possibilities,
directions and procedures that determine and confirm the integration of the formative assessment in the primary
education from the fifth till the eighth grade in the school subject-music
education .Another purpose of this research is to perceive the first
experiences of applying the formative assessment on the students ‘learning
outcome and achievement. (summative
assessment).The research was conducted in the first semester of the 2008/09
school year with 219 students or 102 fifth graders and 117 seventh graders in
the Primary School ,,Goce Delcev” Negotino
.
The researching
procedure is consisted of
examining all the students at the end of
the first trimester (summative assessment), differentiation of groups-one group
where the formative and summative assessments are utilized and applied and the
other group where the summative assessment has to be applied, integrating the
formative assessment in the teaching process in the school subject of
music education within the group where the formative and summative
assessments are applied; examining and testing all the students at the end of
the second trimester in order to sum up the results and the influence of the
formative and summative assessment.
The research shows that the formative assessment has a great impact
on the summative assessment thus improving the students’ learning outcome and achievement a great extent.
